New version

New model created just for fun, main image was rendered using CU4, sketch was composed and inverted using Photo Plus 11, images were composed and text added using Serif Draw X2.

Our new 2D & 3D software is now up and running. Hopefully as time goes by I will post some tutorials for you to try, in the meantime I have posted a model mouse that I modelled and rendered in CU4 -very realistic results! This image also shows the original sketch that was scanned in and used as an underlay for the generation curves.

what do you do when you have too many blank cds lying around and nowhere to sit? the answer is the 'panda chair' designed by belen hermosa constructed from a simple base covered in cds lined up in rows. the chair was recently shown at the nude pavillion for the international furniture fair of valencia.

CD Covers is a good site to download covers and disk art of existing games and software, great fo doing 'existing products analysis'

Ask About Games is a site designed to give info to both parents and players, there is info here about calssifications, age restrictions, warnings etc.

Google Sketchup 6 - free version



This piece of software is a must have - and its free! Primarily designed as an Architectural Design Package it can also be used for furniture design. Download it from Google. It is a very quick to learn and is really good fun to use. Follow the online tutorials to pick up the basics.

Product Design Forums is a must visit site (see links list). It is used by both students and professional designers. Check out the tutorials and design work that people post. You will need to register as a user to view images and respond to posts. Why not post some of your sketches or CADD models to get feedback from other designers. Also if you do CADD check out the 3D Challenges and have a go at modelling them!
